2009 Pignic
It was “pignic”time again a few weeks back and this year we took along two of Mummy’s favourites; Amaya and Panna Cotta. We entered Amaya in the eating contest but she wasn’t too interested, too well fed at home!
Harrison and Will had fun participating in the sack races.
We found this cute little doggy wandering around…
Batman put in an appearance as well.
Mummy was very chuffed to be awarded with the Foster Carer of the Year award – thanks Alina!
The playground and jumping castle were well used by us boys and we had a great day!
0-60 in the blink of an eye…
60 short years ago a cute blue eyed baby was born and named Anthony. He would come to be known as “Tony”.
Many years passed and he grew into a most handsome lad and attracted the attention of a young lady named Jean. They married and had 2 beautiful daughters.
The eldest was particularly striking and probably should have become a film star but decided that Tony needed some grandsons in his life so she became a mother instead.
Three Grandsons later Tony was glad he had been blessed with 2 daughters rather than sons and suddenly found he was 60 years old. He decided to have a small gathering to celebrate and his three Grandsons were there to wriggle around on his lap whilst he tried to eat, blow out all the candles on the cake with a good degree of moisture, spill a few drinks and generally create chaos.
Here are some pics of the happy event…
Fun with our friends Christopher and Tahlia…
Our friends Christopher and Tahlia came to visit a few weeks ago with their Mum and Dad; Kylee and Darren (Mummy and Daddy’s friends). We had heaps of fun! We went 4WDriving up to Queen Mary Falls…here are some of the pics.
Weekend Warriors
Things to do on Stradbroke Island…
1. Try to break a few bones at the skate park.
2. Give in and finally go to sleep each night.
3. Go 4WDing and find some cool animal footprints –
in this case it was a kangaroo print.
4. Find the highest point and check out the view
(Sam needed an extra advantage!)
5. Be explorers.
6. Find a freshwater lake to swim in.
7. Lie in the shade of a paperbark tree and take a nap.
8. Catch Fish
9. Hi 5 Daddy and his mate Brad during the running leg of the triathlon.
10. Get up close to a helicopter (Sam is STILL talking about this).
11. Catch some waves.
12. Climb up a hill and pose for a photo because Mummy told you to!
13. Find some tadpoles and baby frogs (toads probably!)
14. Take a spa bath
15. Watch 300 crazy people (including Daddy) race each other across the sand to swim in the surf then ride their bikes through soft sand and run up stairs and hills!
16. Play in the waves.
17. Draw lines in the sand with your head (if you try this be prepared to suffer through a vigorous hair washing episode later that night).
18. Check out the view at Point Lookout
19. Run across the finish line with your Dad!
20. Stick a pipe cleaner in your nose to make a moustache.
(do this one at your own risk!)
