We have just come home from a very busy weekend. We went to Kingscliff for Harrison and Brad to compete in the Kingscliff Triathlon. Harrison also ran in the 5km fun run the day before the Tri (we all wish we had his energy).
Here he is approaching the finish – being a fun run it was a mix of adults and kids. Harrison was the first kid back and beat quite a few adults too!
Sam entertains us at Breakfast afterwards.
Back at the apartment that afternoon Will and Sam decided to try out the pool. Seeing its only just starting to warm up weather wise we thought they would be out in 2 minutes. We were wrong – perhaps the doctor removed their sense along with their tonsils?
Harrison’s bike in transition, all set up and ready to go.
Briefing.
Getting ready for the swim.
Off they go!
Heading up to transition…
Almost ready to go…
He’s off!
And before we know it, he’s back:)
Mummy raced to the finish line but Harry crossed it before she could get there!
Next was Daddy’s turn and the boys had fun playing in the sand while waiting for him to swim his 1.5km in the ocean.
Here he comes…
Off on his bike for his 30km ride.
Meanwhile it was presentation time for Harry’s age group – he came in 9th :) Here he is getting his medal.
He was also lucky enough to have his registration number pulled out of the lucky draw and he won a brand new tri suit and ice cream pass :) Mummy was just as excited as his current suit is on its last legs and this will save her $80!
The boys found ways to amuse themselves while Daddy ran his 10km. Will played his DS.
Harry supported the Surf Lifesavers sausage on bread stall.
Sam played with Daddy’s crocs!
Daddy crossed the finish line in a great time beating his last Olympic distance time that he did in Byron in May. Exhausted now we packed up and headed home!
