Look out Australia Zoo...here I come!

It was a morning like most others... I got up and started getting ready for school when my Mum said " You don't want to go to school today do you Harrison?" "Yes I do!" I protested (I love school). "Oh well", said Mum. "That's a shame because Auntie Lauren is going to Australia Zoo and she thought you might like to go along with her." I did NOT need to be asked twice. I raced to my room and was back decked out in my "Steve" clothes faster than Mum could blink.

After spending half an hour watching the clock very closely, Auntie Lauren arrived and we were off.

Lots of other people loved Steve Irwin as much as much as I do.

I didn't think it would be lunch time quite so soon?





I wish I had one of these at home (though I admit I have just about everything else!)

Feeding the kangaroos.

We saw this little fella as we were walking along and I stopped to give him a pat and a big hello from Uncle Roche.

I loved this snake and once again I have been asking Mum when I can get one. Mum says when I am 18 and have my own house...she's just cruel!

A turtle is also high on my list of pets I must have.

I received lots of comments on my attire throughout the day and I am only too happy to tell people how I plan to have my own zoo one day. I will have all kinds of animals but the ones I want to work with the most are the crocs, venomous snakes and komodo dragons.

As you can see I was well and truly worn out after such a big fantastic day!

How Cute!

As you can see, Chuck and Snowy are getting along famously. Perhaps we shall hear the pitter patter of tiny feet soon??

How to conduct the perfect science experiment...

1. Always read the instructions and find out what you need. In this case I need a plastic bottle, a balloon and lots of puff! (BTW - if you do the experiment wearing your pj's this adds style)

2. Stretch the balloon over the neck of the bottle from the inside and blow as hard as you can...nothing happens!!! Well actually something does happen - you get dizzy!

3. Cut a little slit in the side of the bottle (I got my Mum to help with that) and then try to blow again. Wow - the balloon blows up easily!

4. Always record your findings in your notebook - I learned that balloons are much easier to blow up when you don't have air pressure working against you!



I have a really cool science experiment kit (thanks Kristin) and love doing the experiments in it.

Haircut!

My Mum said my hair looked like a mop,

so off we went to the barber shop.

The clippers went buzz and the scissors went click,

the whole experience was really quite quick.

I left the shop looking rather cool,

and ready to pick up Harry from school.

Sore Teeth

No need for teething rings...I am following in my biggest brother's footsteps and I have invented my own teething remedy.

Sam's Update

I am eating lots of yummy foods and am much more tolerant of lumps than my brother Will was so Mummy is pleased about that!

I am enjoying going to playgroup with Will and next week I am starting some Gymboree classes too.

I love pasta and am trying hard to feed it to myself.

I still love my bottles and am quite good at feeding them to myself too.

Will's Update

I have been really busy! What with decorating the toilet (I kind of gave away that I did it by having the paper trail lead straight inot the bedroom),

going up and down the rollercoaster 2 hundred times at playgroup,

and climbing onto the kitchen counter to make a huge mess (then driving my cars through it) when Mummy's back is turned...

I'm worn out!

Harrison's Update...

We went to Brayden's Pirate Party and had lots of fun...

Sports Day - Here I am (second from left) running in the lap race. Mummy, Daddy and Auntie Lauren were there to cheer me on. No ribbons this year but I had fun!

I took Daddy to the boat show on Father's day and I won this cool fishing rod there. I think Daddy was a bit jealous!

I am still inventing all the time and this was one of my recent creations...a boat for Sammy and I.

I have a new guinea pig named Snowy to keep Chuck company.

She's only a baby - 5 weeks old and she's very very cute!

How to save water and still have fun...

It's easy... just go in the shower with Mummy and take in your best "butt sized" dump truck and an ice cream container. Don't forget a few other fun toys to play with. Then when Mummy turns the water off after the four minutes you can sit in the water you have collected and still play!

Sam Sits...

Hi everyone!

I am 7 months old and growing really quickly now. I weigh 7.5kg and I am sitting up really well. I babble on and on with noises that sound like "glug glug" and "quack quack".

I am very placid and happy.

I eat lots and lots of different food and so far the only thing I haven't liked is some disgusting thing my Mummy tried to feed me that was a mixture of rhubarb and polenta. I spat it right out and just to make sure Mummy really understood not to buy it again I even threw in some dry retching!

I love watching my brothers play.

When my Daddy tickles my feet I squeal with laughter.

I can also get up on my hands and knees and have started rocking back and forth trying to figure out how to get moving.

I am not sure why but when Mummy saw me doing this she looked around at everything about 30cm off the floor and started shaking her head...then she plonked me back down on my butt?

Will and Chuck

Occasionally my big brother Harrison lets me have a cuddle of his Guinea Pig Chuck. I love cuddling him and call him "Chucky". I like him a lot and he doesn't give me hives the way my puppies do either so that's great!

Things We Learned At Spider Park...

1. The easiest way to navigate a maze is to have your brother climb to the top and give you directions.

2. Going up is a lot harder than going down!

3.If you run...your brother will chase you.



4. Climbing the steps, then going down the slide many many times in a row can make you rather dizzy.



5. To be caught in a spider web with a snake behind you would really be bad luck!

6. If you look and act cool, all the girls want to play with you!

7. Your Mum should dress you in your oldest clothes as after you slide down the climbing wall many times in a row they will be filthy!

8. Watching your brothers play is lots of fun!

9. There's so much to do...you need to make sure you beg to stay "just a little longer".

10. The people who designed spider park are unaware that turtles do not bounce and that even 2 year olds will point that out!

11. Heels make good brakes.

12. When you dig in the sand with a digger instead of in your garden bed at home with your hands...Mummy takes photos instead of getting cross!

13. Hanging upside down really DOES make the blood rush to your head!
